Executive Coaching

At the NIH, NASA, the U.S. Senate, and beyond, executives turn to Don Swenholt for coaching that helps them resolve performance challenges and enhance their leadership effectiveness.

How does the process unfold?

First, Don interviews the client. Together, they set performance goals. Then they meet regularly for three to twelve months to pursue those goals. As this work unfolds, Don also interviews the client’s colleagues and administers the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, the DiSC assessment, and a 360-degree feedback survey to promote the client’s self-awareness.

Does it work?

Yes! Don’s clients report that their work with him produces three powerful outcomes. First, they say that his counsel boosts their self-confidence and enthusiasm. Second, they say that his questions heighten their self-awareness and open avenues for valuable enhancements to their leadership effectiveness. Third, they say that his guidance on specific behaviors helps them get results and build strong relationships with others.

Specifically-

  • A Federal executive learned to build stronger, more productive relationships with her direct reports.
  • A telecom VP mastered the art of powerful, well-focused communications in business meetings and presentations.
  • A healthcare executive discovered the advantages of collaborating rather than competing with members of his team.
